2011-2012 Work the Dream Grant Awardees

The Fran Crippen Elevation Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of the 1st Annual Work The Dream Grant!  The Work the Dream Grant was established to provide financial aid to elite swimming athletes who share Fran’s passion and dedication to sport.  The 2011-2012 male recipient is Matt McLean, and the female recipient is Ashley Twichell.

We received over twenty applications from some of the most elite athletes in the world.  While every single application was outstanding in its own right, in the end the FCEF Grant Selection Committee felt that the applications of Matt McLean and Ashley Twichell described courage and dedication that truly embodied the competitive spirit and love of sport Fran carried with him every day.  We hope that with the help of this grant Ashley and Matt will achieve their Olympic goals.
